Peoples Housing Forum November 28th: Liberty Hall Dublin

Last month over 100 people packed out a ‘Housing Emergency and Rights Conference’ in Dublin’s Liberty Hall. After a day of presentations, workshops, debate and discussion, many demanded that this conference become a regular inclusive forum for all those affected by the housing crisis and those who wish to challenge it.

On Saturday November 28th, the People’s Housing Forum invites you to have your voice heard. Organised by Housing Action Now and the Irish Housing Network, the People’s Housing Forum believes that those affected, communities, grassroots activists and all interested parties and organisations should and can work together to challenge this housing and homeless crisis and make housing a right.

The topics for the day will be: Social Housing; Private Rental; Homelessness; Mortgages & Evictions; Traveller Accommodation; Migrants & Direct Provision. The day will close with a set of demands formed collectively by those present.  This will be thePeople’s Housing Demands. In January we will follow this event with a Peoples Housing Forum 2 focused on Campaigns, Organising and Action around these Demands.

Join us in Liberty Hall on the 28th and have your say.
