The Apocalypse & I – an interview on #poetry #multimedia #revolution

I’ve been interviewed about poetry, politics, & being a multimedia writer in a multimedia age by the redoubtable Ciaran O’ Rourke – who provided great questions, which I hope my answers may in some measure live up to.

“I see [the artist’s] responsibility in much the same way as Pasolini did, as an apocalyptic responsibility – we must do our best to depict, to warn about, to help people prepare for, the total collapse of civilisation which is coming, which is in fact well under way, & which can be survived & overcome, but only through facing things head on – meaning revolution, which is to say solidarity & sacrifice on a huge scale.”

Read the rest of the interview over at Island’s Edge Poetry where there a suite of diverse poet-interviews to check out.
